❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Q1. What microcontrollers work with this driver?
Any TTL‐level PWM source such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, STM32, or other 3.3 V/5 V boards.
Q2. How do I wire for reverse direction?
Drive the DIR input pin high or low per the datasheet. PWM on the PWM pin controls speed in either direction.
Q3. Is heat‐sinking required?
For loads under 10 A continuous, the onboard copper area suffices. For 15 A continuous, add an external heat sink or fan.
Q4. What protection features are included?
The module has overcurrent shutdown, overtemperature cutoff, and undervoltage lockout to safeguard both driver and motor.
Q5. Can I drive inductive loads?
Yes, it’s designed for brushed DC motors. Avoid driving solenoids or untested inductive loads without additional suppression.
